This collection contains an 1844 John Brown Bible, various pictures from the internet, a photograph of a group of unidentified women circa 1950, and an abstract which identifies the location of an old mill in Lawrence County that was previously unknown.
Biographical/Historical Note
All items for this collection were accepted for the express purpose of obtaining the included abstract. This abstract confirms the location of a mill at Township 16 North, Range 2 West, Northeast quarter of Section 3, the location of which was previously unknown. Rumors among local historians had placed a mill in the general vicinity, but its exact location could not be definitively identified until this abstract prepared by J.H. Townsend in 1936 was found.
