Description
This collection has a late 19th Century diary filled with recipes and poems both handwritten and clipped from newspapers. There are also pages from a Bible, illustrated booklets, a greeting card, and other newsclippings.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Jeffie Hibler papers were donated to the Lawrence County Historical Society when they were operating from Powhatan Historic State Park. While we have no information as to the identity of Ms. Hibler, we believe she was related to one of the Lawrence County families. Her diary included all the other materials listed here tucked inside its pages.
