Biographical/Historical Note

Lum and Abner was an American network radio comedy program modeled on life in a small town in Arkansas near where the creators Chester Lauck and Norris Goff grew up. It aired from 1931-1954. The annual Lum & Abner Festival is held the first weekend in June at Janssen Park in Mena, Arkansas.
