Letter from Colonel Adam D. Grayson in Jonesboro to Governor Henry M. Rector notifying Rector of the election of officers in the 55th Regiment, Arkansas Militia.

Head Quarters
fiftyfifth regiment the Ark. Militia
I do herby certify that
Alen Dodds Received a majority of the
votes given at a special election held
at the voting for captain in Company A
of the 55 Regiment of the A.M.
I do also certify that Noble Joseph was
duly elected first Lieutenant in said company
at the same time and place
I do also certify that David Mead was
duly elected Captain at an election held on
the same day for Company C
I do also certify that Henry N. Luller
was duly elected Captain at an election
held in Company D on the same day
