This collection contains a commission for Mrs. Rees P. Horrock as "Major and Aid de Camp on the Staff of Brig. General L.A. Fitzpatrick, Commanding the 1st Brig. Arkansas Division," United States Confederate Veterans.

Biographical/Historical Note

Dilla Basham was born about 1872, to James and Lemira Shelton Basham of Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas. Rees Pritchard Horrocks was born December 1, 1859. He and Dilla Basham were married on November 20, 1901. Rees was a Freemason and a Shriner. Dilla died on November 30, 1954, but it is not known when Rees died.
