Description
This collection contains a broadside announcing Thomason’s Candidacy for Congress for the First Congressional District in the newly formed Confederate States of America.
Biographical/Historical Note
H.F. Thomason moved to Washington County, Arkansas, in 1829 and was later elected, in Washington County, as the prosecuting attorney in 1851, serving two terms. He moved to Van Buren in 1857 and represented Crawford County, Arkansas, in the constitutional convention in March and May of 1861.
