Description
This collection contains an appeal by the men of Crawford County to Thomason requesting he represent the county at the upcoming Convention and his reply.
Biographical/Historical Note
H.F. Thomason moved to Washington County, Arkansas, in 1829 and was later elected, in Washington County, as the prosecuting attorney in 1851, serving two terms. He moved to Van Buren in 1857 and represented Crawford County, Arkansas, in the constitutional convention in March and May of 1861.
