Description
This collection contains a project report on the Garland County Historical Society which includes its history, organization, programs, officers, and other information. The project was funded in part by a grant from the Arkansas Endowment for the Humanities. The project director was former Arkansas State Archives Director, Dr. Wendy Richter.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Garland County Historical Society was founded in 1960. The organization collects, preserves, and educates the public about the history of Garland County, Arkansas. They also publish a yearly journal called The Record, as well as books related to the history of Garland County and Hot Springs.
