This collection contains one broadside, Special Orders, No. 23 (Headquarters, Department of Arkansas, Little Rock), relieving Lt. William F. Cole, Twenty-Seventh Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers, of special duty in the Quartermaster's Department.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Twenty-Seventh Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers were mustered into service for the Union Army at Milwaukee on March 7, 1863, and were mustered out on August 5, 1865, in Brownsville, Texas.
