Description

This collection contains one broadside, Special Orders, No. 23 (Headquarters, Department of Arkansas, Little Rock), directing Captain G. Durbin, Assistant Quartermaster, Fort Smith, to proceed to New Orleans and report to the Board of Examiners.

Biographical/Historical Note

Captain Green Durbin served in the Union Army in Fort Smith in 1863 and 1865 and as Assistant Quartermaster to the New York Volunteers. He was honorably mustered out of service in 1866.
