Biographical/Historical Note

The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic body for male Master Masons and women related to Masons. It was founded in 1850 and works towards religious, charitable, and educational goals. James E. Peake was elected the third Grand Patron in 1888 until his death in 1907.
