This collection contains a memorial address upon the life of General James Green Martin. it was delivered at Raleigh, North Carolina, on May 10, 1916, by Hon. Walter Clark, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

Biographical/Historical Note

James Green Martin was a brigadier general in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War. After the war, he practiced law in Asheville for the remainder of his life. He died on October 4, 1878.
