Description
This collection contains photocopies and a typed copy of news clippings about the Little Rock Athletic Club, a photocopy of an event program, and a written note about the history of the association. Most original organizational records for the association were destroyed by fire in 1877.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Little Rock Boat and Athletic Association was established in 1882. Several years later, the name was changed to the Little Rock Athletic Association. The clubhouse or headquarters was known as the "Boathouse."
