Biographical/Historical Note
The Arkansas Civil Defense Agency was created by Act 321 of 1953. The initial purpose included the formation of a civil defense plan in case of any occurrence of disasters. The objective concerned the coordination of federal, state, and local efforts to deal with any disasters that may occur.
