Biographical/Historical Note

The Bayou Fourche Engagement, also known as the Battle of Little Rock, occurred on September 10, 1863, during the Civil War. In the battle, Confederate troops sought to stop the Union army from capturing Little Rock, but Little Rock fell to Union forces that evening.
