This collection contains one letter pertaining to the creation of the Manassas Battlefield Foundation Committee.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Manassas Battlefield Foundation was a committee of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. According to the letter in this collection, its objective was to "preserve, beautify, and properly mark the historical battlefield of Manassas (Bull Run) in Virginia, owned and sponsored by the General Organization of the Sons of Confederate Veterans." The committee consisted of eight individuals from Arkansas and members from other states.
