This collection consists of photocopies of transcripts of interviews concerning the first State Capitol (Old State House) at Little Rock, Arkansas. An index to the interviews is available in the collection.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Arkansas Commemorative Commission oral history interviews were conducted by Donald R. Brown, Marvin Ray Franklin, and Michele Roussel Wasson. Marinelle Ringer transcribed the interviews. Information from the interviews was used in "The Old State House: Its Survival and Contributions, 1911-1947" by Brown, Franklin, and Wasson, a project sponsored by the Arkansas Commemorative Commission and funded by a grant from the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA), December-September, 1977-1978.
