This collection contains one monthly statement for Memphis and Little Rock Railroad by William B. Cotton, agent, dated April 1879.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Memphis and Little Rock Railroad was the first railroad to operate in Arkansas, chartered in 1853 and in use before, during and after the Civil War. The 133 miles of track between Memphis and Little Rock were eventually absorbed by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company after the turn of the century.
