This collection contains pension material and other service records for Benjamin O. Isbell.

Biographical/Historical Note

Benjamin O. Isbell was living in Indiana at the outbreak of the Civil War; however, he went south and joined the Confederate Army in Colonel Cook's First Texas Heavy Artillery. He was later transferred to the 15th Texas Battery, Field Artillery, which he served until May 1865.
