This collection contains correspondence related to John W. Crockett's term as State Treasurer from 1913 to 1914.
Biographical/Historical Note
John W. Crockett (1860-1920) was the great-grandson of Davy Crockett and a prominent Arkansas politician in the early 1900s. Crockett served as Secretary of State from 1901-1905, and as State Treasurer from 1911-1915. As State Treasurer, Crockett was responsible for bonds, scrip, and warrants presented to the state treasurer's office to be redeemed.
