Biographical/Historical Note
The Board Minutes in this collection contains the minutes of the 1873 meeting of the Van Buren County Board of Supervisors with W.W. Garner serving as President of the Board of Supervisors. Van Buren County was formed in November 1833, from parts of Conway, Independence and Izard Counties becoming the 29th county in Arkansas. The county of Van Buren was named for President Martin Van Buren.
