This collection contains a pamphlet written by former Arkansas governor, George Donaghey, dated February 1, 1922 entitled "High Traffic Highways" promoting the need for properly constructed highways for Arkansas.
Biographical/Historical Note
George Donaghey (1856-1937) was born July 1, 1856. He became a builder and contractor and handled many important projects in Arkansas. Donaghey was actively involved in the new state capitol building's construction, pushing for the completion of the project and hiring the architect Cass Gilbert. He went on to become governor of Arkansas for two terms (1909-1913).
