This collection contains a printed issue of the 1861 Abraham Lincoln proclamation.
Biographical/Historical Note
Abraham Lincoln issued this proclamation after the secession of the southern slave states in 1861. This proclamation calls for the end of "Commercial intercourse with the Rebel States" and sets up the Union blockade of all southern ports.
