James N. Martin lived in Clay County, Arkansas and worked for Corning Mercantile Company, The Big Four Mercantile Company and Martin Drug Company of Corning and Reyno, Arkansas. He had business affairs with W.W. Schoolfield who lived in Memphis, Tennessee.
