Description

This black and white postcard depicts Mather Lodge at Petit Jean Mountain, near Morrilton, Conway County, Arkansas. It was sent by Mrs. N. W. Campbell to Miss Clara B. Eno in July of 1939.

Biographical/Historical Note

Mather Lodge at Petit Jean State Park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s, for the newly-formed Petit Jean State Park. The lodge was named for Stephen Mather, the director of the National Parks Service.
