NEARA has nearly 2,500 rolls of microfilm for or patron use in the Powhattan, Arkansas, research room. Much of this microfilm provides access to materials not currently available in digital formats.

Microfilm continues to be a preservation standard in the archives community. Our archival master negatives are created on silver halide film, which has a 500-year shelf life. The microfilm readers in our research rooms allow patrons to capture microfilm materials on paper and digital formats.
