Oct. 15, 1838 U.S. Judge Isaac Parker born in Ohio, member of Congress, from Missouri,

came to Fort Smith in 1875, U.S. Judge for Western District of Arkansas 1875-1896.

Arkansas Press Association organized October 15, 1873.
