January 15, 1824 Freeman W. Compton born Orange Co., N. Carolina, Associate Justice of Supreme Court, died 1892.

First settlement in Lawrence County 1811.

Davidsonville was seat of Justice and became first post office in Arkansas in 1817.

Jan. 15, 1815 Lawrence County created.

First court house of Lawrence County.
