Diary of physician T.W. Hardison for the year 1930, including everyday life, patients appointments, weather reports, Hardison's writing processes, work with the local board of education and medical society, and Hardison's perspective on the deteriorating economic situation on Petit Jean Mountain.
Biographical/Historical Note
Thomas William Hardison, a Petit Jean Mountain physician, author, and geologist, was instrumental in the creation of Arkansas's state parks system. He served as a member of the Arkansas State Parks Commission and was, for a time, chairman. He was born in 1884 at Richland, Columbia County, Arkansas. He died in April 1957.
