This collection contains newspaper articles from the Arkansas Gazette and Arkansas Democrat, sheet music written by Dr. J.J. Livingston, and poetry anthologies, including five pamphlets printed by the Arkansas Poets' Roundtable in 1938-1939, 1939-1940, 1940-1941, 1941-1942, and 1945-1946.

Biographical/Historical Note

Sarah Mizelle Morgan was born November 3, 1891, and died January 15, 1988, and was the wife of John D. Morgan. She was a Little Rock, Arkansas, writer who served as poet laureate for the Arkansas Chapter of the Grand Order of the Eastern Star. She also wrote newspaper articles during the 1940s for the Arkansas Democrat and Arkansas Gazette.
