This letter written by J.M. Curran concerns payment of taxes by Lane Robison.

Biographical/Historical Note

James Moore Curran was born December 10, 1821, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Thomas, a native of Ireland, and Jane Moore Curran, a native of Vermont of Irish descent. He studied law and was admitted to the bar. He married Sophia Fulton, daughter of Judge William Savin and Matilda F. Noland Fulton. James and Sophia had a son, William S., and a daughter, Alice Moore Curran, born February 18, 1855. Curran died October 6, 1854.
