This collection contains correspondence from J.H. Anderson to his brother H.W. Anderson about the recently opened silver and lead mines in Howard and Sevier counties, Arkansas.
Biographical/Historical Note
Antimony and lead were the main interests at the Bellah mine in Sevier County, Arkansas. Today, the Bellah mine site is maintained in a park on DeQueen Lake by the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
