This document details statistical reports gathered by the Prosecuting Attorneys of the State of Arkansas of felony cases for 1921-1922. It names the crime that was committed, the number indicted, number convicted, acquitted, years of imprisonment, life sentences, and death sentences, divided by race.

Biographical/Historical Note

In the United States, the state of New York began collecting criminal statistics in 1829 that were gathered by the states’ attorneys or clerks of the criminal courts. Arkansas followed this example by documenting the different types of crime and the people who committed those crimes.
