Biographical/Historical Note

Mountain Home Baptist College, Mountain Home, Arkansas, opened in 1893. The school was sponsored by the White River Baptist Association and the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. Many of its students came from northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. For a while, it was known as the Mountain Home-Ouachita Academy, because of an affiliation with Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia. The school closed in 1934.
