This collection contains records and publications from the Intergovernmental Services Agency, including documents and correspondence related to personnel management from 1967-1971 and financial reports of the State Comptroller from 1940-1964.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Office of Intergovernmental Services is a division of the Department of Finance and Administration. It is responsible for the administration of various federal grant programs such as the Victims of Crime Act, STOP Violence Against Women, Family Violence Prevention Services Act, and the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. IGS also administers the State Clearinghouse which serves as the Single Point of Contact for the State of Arkansas to state agencies, regional planning councils, water management districts, and local governments that participate in the intergovernmental review process. Additionally, IGS oversees the State Records Retention Schedule, performs cost analysis of state agencies' information technology (IT) budgets and expenditures, and prepares the annual statewide indirect cost allocation report.
