This collection contains correspondence, employment, and personal documents pertaining to Davidson C. Roy and his wife Myra Ilene Swaim. The collection also contains information regarding Davidson C. Roy's time in the Naval Reserves.

Biographical/Historical Note

Davidson C. "D.C." Roy was born in DeWitt, Arkansas, on October 19, 1913 to Leo and Mattie Davidson Roy. He married Myra Ilene Swaim in Lincoln County (Ark.) on March 11, 1939. He registered for the World War II draft in Star City, Arkansas, and he served in the Naval Reserves. His listed occupation was a worker for the United States Department of Agriculture Bureau of Agricultural Adjustment Administration. He died on August 7, 2000. He is buried at the DeWitt Cemetery in DeWitt, Arkansas.
