Biographical/Historical Note

The USS Arkansas was a dreadnought battleship built by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation in 1910. The battleship was commissioned in September 1912 and decommissioned in July 1946 after being sunk in a nuclear bomb test at Bikini Atoll.
