This collection contains three letters.
Biographical/Historical Note
Dams were constructed on the Ouachita River to provide hydroelectric power and to aid navigation on the river. Two of the three planned dams were completed by 1931, the Remmel Dam (completed 1924) and the Carpenter Dam (completed 1931). The final dam of the project, Blakely Mountain Dam, was completed in 1953.
