This collection contains a typed copy of a roll for Captain Rubin Reed's Company "A", 10th Arkansas Confederate Cavalry.
Biographical/Historical Note
Newton's 10th Arkansas Cavalry Regiment was organized from volunteer companies from the Arkansas State Militia after the fall of Little Rock during the Civil War. They fought in the Arkansas River Valley, being involved in the Red River Campaign, the Battle of Marks' Mills, and the Battle of Dardanelle. Capt. Reuben C. Reed's company was composed of men from Clark County.
