This collection contains one annual report from the Arkansas Archeological Survey for the year 2019-2020.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Arkansas Archeological Survey was established in 1967 by the Arkansas Legislature through Act 39. The survey's mission is to study and protect archeological sites in Arkansas, to preserve and manage information about those sites, and to communicate that information to the people of Arkansas. The survey's coordinating office is located on the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville's campus and houses the offices of the director, the state archeologist, the survey's register, the fiscal officer, the publications staff, and programs for sponsored research, computer services, and outreach. The survey has eleven research stations across the state, which help to carry out the its mission.
