This collection contains a roster of the members of the 28th Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers.
Biographical/Historical Note
The 28th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment was mustered into service on October 14, 1862, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was mustered out on August 23, 1865. Battles fought in Arkansas include the Battle at Helena, the Battle at Montana Elba, and the Battle at Mark's Mills.
