Biographical/Historical Note
Arkansas State University Three Rivers, formerly known as Ouachita Technical College and College of the Ouachitas, is a public, two year college in Malvern, Arkansas. It was established in July 1969 as Ouachita Vocational Technical School. It was renamed Ouachita Technical College after Governor Bill Clinton signed legislation that reorganized the state's vo-tech institutions into two-year accredited colleges. The name changed again in 2020 to Arkansas State University Three Rivers when the school joined the Arkansas State University system.
