This collection contains a record appointing Christian Kaiser corporal of Company A, 9th Regiment of Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and a typed description of the Battle of Jenkins' Ferry, Arkansas. It is dated April 21, 1864.
Biographical/Historical Note
Christian Kaiser was a corporal in Company A, 9th Wisconsin Regiment Infantry. He was killed in action at Jenkins' Ferry, Arkansas, on April 30, 1864. Company A was known as the Sheboygan Tigers under the command of Col. Fredrick Solomon of Manitowoe.
