This collection contains one broadside, the Des Arc Citizen, Daily Extra, Vol. 6, No. 7. It reports news of the Civil War.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Des Arc Citizen, established in 1854, was the first newspaper in the city. It supported secession before the Civil War, and the Constitutional Union newspaper was established in 1860 to support staying in the Union. The Des Arc Citizen seems to have been suspended during the Civil War.
