This collection contains one broadside, a notice by S.A. Henry, Pope County Sheriff and Collector, giving his schedule for collecting taxes.
Biographical/Historical Note
S.A. Henry was born in 1841 in South Carolina and became a member of Company B of the Second Arkansas Mounted Rifles from June 1861 to July 1865, achieving the rank of lieutenant before being discharged. He was elected sheriff of Pope County in 1894 for two terms and served one term as county treasurer.
