This collection contains one broadside, a notice by Benton County Sheriff Wm. H. Cloe, for sale of land to settle a circuit court case between Mary Scruggs and C.W. Cheek.
Biographical/Historical Note
Benton County is located in northwest Arkansas and is the second-most populous county in the state. It was formed on September 30, 1836 and is named after Thomas Hart Benton, a U.S. Senator from Missouri. The county seat is Bentonville.
