Biographical/Historical Note
This collection contains a book of membership rolls and meeting minutes from the Benton Baptist Church in Benton, Arkansas, from 1890 to 1901. The minutes in the collection were kept by L.A. Grimes, a church clerk, and the great-great-grandfather of the donor, Bobbie Jo Brown. Grimes, his wife, and their daughters are all listed in the membership rolls. The book also contains names of other families who lived in the area at that time.
