Description
This collection is comprised of photographs of Ogden family members, Worthen family members, Tunnah family members, these friends of the aforementioned families, and some influential Arkansans. Also included are a 1909 Little Rock High School yearbook and a 1909 commencement book from Little Rock High School that belonged to Allie Tunnah.
Biographical/Historical Note
The Ogden family resided in Pulaski County, Arkansas. Mahlon Dickerson Ogden was born in Little Rock in 1881 to Charles and Altamirah Ogden. In 1907, Mahlon married Sue Peay Worthen, also born in 1881 in Little Rock, to William and Mollie Worthen. Mahlon and Sue had four children together, Mahlon (1908), Mollie (1911 – 1993), John (1913 - 1998), and Altamirah (1916 – 1992), all of whom were born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mahlon Dickerson Ogden died in 1947 and Sue Peay Worthen Ogden died in 1954. Both are buried in Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas.
