This collection contains Cora's business card, Christmas cards from Governor Faubus, two open letters from E.M. Biggers, and photographs of Cora Evans, Bob Beverly, Bill Zimmerman, and Clarence Thornbrough, Arkansas State Labor Commissioner.

Biographical/Historical Note

Cora Bell Evans worked as an investigator and supervisor for Arkansas Department of Labor (ADL) in the Wage and Hour Division during the 1960s and 1970s. The ADL is responsible for enforcing the state’s labor laws and has the authority to carry out inspections and investigations in to labor violations.
