Description
The blueprints in this collection were collected by James McDaniel and cover areas in Lonoke, Arkansas, Jefferson, Prairie, and Pulaski Counties. Most pertain to the construction of roads and state highways.
Biographical/Historical Note
James Lee "Jim" McDaniel graduated from Little Rock High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. He later worked as a computer system engineer in Dallas, Texas. James McDaniel died on January 23, 2020. He was the son of Martha Jeanne Mathis McDaniel and Ernest Lee McDaniel. The family lived in Lonoke and Little Rock, Arkansas. The Arkansas State Archives also holds the McDaniel and Bradford families collection, which contains other material related to the family.
